Who Are We?

The Arc Baton Rouge, Children’s Services, formerly known as The Early Intervention Program, was founded in the late 1960s. We are a family-oriented program designed to assist children of all ages with special needs to maximize their developmental potential and to promote their rights, as well as full inclusion within the community. Our focus for children and their families is to improve the quality of life through our five programs: Early Intervention Services, Training and Technical Assistance, Inclusive Child Care through The Arc Early Head Start and Child Care Center, Parent Support Projects, and School Age Support Projects.

Mission Statement
The Arc Baton Rouge, Children’s Services promotes the rights and full inclusion of children with special needs and their families. Together with our community partners we provide services, supports and advocacy that inspire our community and individuals.

Vision Statement
The Vision of The Arc Baton Rouge, Children Services is to live in a community where all children regardless of their different abilities are free to play and
learn together.
